As a trustee, VHH is entrusted with sensitive health information of the people we serve. We take this responsibility with the utmost seriousness and regard security, confidentiality, and trust as foundational.  VHH is seeking a Cybersecurity Lead to design, implement and manage our security program across the entire operation (cloud, networks, systems, applications, AI tools, and data).  

What you bring

You are a dynamic cybersecurity lead with experience in challenging and technically diverse environments. You are detail oriented, share our values, and are driven to make a meaningful contribution to a powerful mission. You possess most of the following:


Diploma or Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, governance, risk, and compliance  

Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCSP, CISA or CISM)  

Familiarity with some of the following information security standards / frameworks (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001/2, NIST SP 800-53, SOC 2, HITRUST) is expected

Familiarity of other industry standards (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, ISO 9001, COMSEC) is an asset

Understanding of Canadian health and privacy laws, and regulations (e.g., PIPEDA, HIPA) is an asset

Experience implementing or managing security governance framework(s), policies, risk mitigation, and including threat-risk and privacy-impact assessments is an strong asset
