Description

The Recipe for Success program delivers small-group cooking and nutrition programming for adults experiencing disabilities. The Coordinator supports participant selection, plans and facilitates sessions, manages volunteers, and completes administrative and evaluation tasks. Duties include:
-Plan and lead small-group cooking sessions
-Create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment
-Support skill development in meal planning, food preparation, and kitchen safety
-Coordinate and support volunteers
-Conduct participant selection (may include home visits with participants and caregivers)
-Plan and distribute program schedules
-Complete grocery shopping and manage budgeting
-Perform administrative tasks (attendance tracking, evaluations, receipt reimbursements)

Qualifications:
-Disability or Rehabilitation Support Worker Certificate and/or related training and experience
-Valid Class 5 Drivers License and access to a working/reliable vehicle
-Valid First Aid/CPR/AED Certification or willingness to obtain within three months
-One year of experience in a related field
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to be flexible and work independently
-Creative planning skills
-Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
-Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work effectively with individuals experiencing disability, management, and community partners
-Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.
