Description

Reporting directly to the PPE Coordinator, the Custodian is responsible for performing general cleaning and maintenance duties throughout the YTL sub offices. Must ensure a clean, orderly, and safe environment. The internal and external appearance of YTL facilities reflects the standards of its occupants, making the Custodians role vital in maintaining a professional image.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Ensuring office spaces are prepared for next day: taking out trash, tidying furniture, cleaning surfaces, sweeping/mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning and sanitizing toilets/sinks and restocking disposables.
Ensuring all office entry ways are clean.
Assist in maintaining outdoor premises.
Assist in installing/maintaining appliances and equipment.
Assist in minor repairs of YTL facilities (repair door knobs, minor leaks, etc.)
Secure facilities after operating hours  ensure doors are locked, windows are closed, alarms are set.
Keeping custodial rooms clean and organized.
Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to ensure hygiene standards are met.
Attend all staff/department meetings

Skills & Abilities:
Must be dependable and reliable.
Must be prompt and efficient in completing tasks.
Valid Drivers License and possess a reliable vehicle.
Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
Physical stamina and dexterity
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be willing to upgrade skills when time and funding permits.
Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, or flexible schedules as required
Must adhere to and maintain company policies, safety regulations and OHS requirements
Must sign an Oath of Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement

Performs other duties as assigned by the PPE Coordinator & Maintenance Team Lead, documenting and forwarding changes to the Recruitment and Retention Officer as necessary if there is a need to amend this job description.
