Description

KPCL is seeking General Helpers with previous camp-based experienced. This position will support the 1st Cook to prepare, package and clean up after meal services, maintain clean kitchen, dormitory and bathroom facilities, and create a positive experience for camp guests.
Where Youll Be Working
KPCL operates camp facilities in Clavet. and you may be required to work one or more camp locations to meet operational requirements.
Responsibilities
What Youll Be Doing
Actively participate in promoting and engaging others in a culture of safety, encouraging staff to operate in a safe and productive manner
Work closely with the 1st Cook to prepare, package and clean up after meal services, including cleaning, peeling and packaging items for bagged lunches
Cleaning, organizing and sanitizing kitchen prep and work areas
Assisting with unloading and secure storage of grocery and cleaning supply orders
Completing housekeeping services for camp dormitories and common areas, including bathrooms, boot rooms, dining halls, hallways and recreation rooms
Checking personnel in and out of camp rooms, completing room inspections for damage upon check out
Reporting any maintenance repairs needed to the 1st Cook
Working collaboratively with the 1st Cook, communicating information clearly and effectively
Adapting to meet changing priorities and helping resolve issues
Willingness to work at other camp locations and work overtime when required
Qualifications
What You Bring
Experience: Previous experience working at remote camp facilities in both kitchen and housekeeping roles is an asset, along with current Food Safety Training certification
Teamwork: Able to work well with others and provide support and guidance
Adaptability: Quick to respond to changes while maintaining alignment with long term direction
