The Job Developer/ Employment Liaison plays a vital role in bridging the gap between newcomer talent and the Regina employers' community.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field ( Social Services, Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, or a related area)
Proven experience in business development, recruitment or sales with a background in job coaching and employment counseling
Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills; ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with staff, clients, employers, and various stakeholders
Solid working knowledge of labor market trends, employer requirements, community resources and , educational and vocational training opportunities
Experience and sensitivity when working with newcomers to Canada, including those with limited English proficiency
Strong technological skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Google Classroom, SMART Boards, Databases)
Demonstrated experience in event management, from planning to marketing to the execution of the event
Must be a self-starter with proven accountability, resourcefulness, initiative, and professionalism
Must be results-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Must possess a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's
The annual salary for this position starts at $ 54, 440.59 ($31.02 per hour) at Step 1 of the Professional Category 1 RODS wage category. Pay periods are the end of day on the 15th of the month and the end of each month.
The standard work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am 4:30 pm in-person, with a one hour unpaid lunch break and an EDO every second week.
