Description

As a member of the maintenance department, this position works collaboratively with other members of the maintenance department to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and maintenance of all Regina Housing properties.  

What you'll do:

- Clean and sanitize common areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, stairwells, and elevators.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Clean windows, mirrors, walls, and fixtures as needed.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring proper storage and usage.
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and security of all properties according to Regina Housing standards and directives.
- Ensure sidewalks, entrances, hallways, elevators, and other common areas adhere to Regina Housing standards for cleanliness and safety.

What you'll need:

- Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent.
- Firemans certificate preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in custodial, residential, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing in English.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning best practices, chemicals, and supplies.
- Understanding of, and commitment to practicing universal safety precautions.
- A class 5 drivers license and a reliable vehicle.
- Criminal record check with a vulnerable sector search.
