Description

Synergy Construction Ltd. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving our health and safety program, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, and supporting a strong safety culture across the organization. This position will provide support with general day-to-day operational or administrative tasks during periods of low project activity

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
This position will also be responsible for managing COR certification and ISNetworld requirements.
Coordinate and maintain COR (Certificate of Recognition) certification, including audit preparation and documentation
Manage ISNetworld compliance, ensuring all required documentation and submissions are current
Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
Deliver safety orientations and ongoing training to employees
Maintain accurate safety records, statistics, and documentation
Ensure compliance with provincial and federal safety regulations
Assist in the development and maintenance of emergency response plans
Promote a proactive safety culture within the organization


Requirements

Minimum 1 years of experience in a safety-related role
Experience with COR certification and ISNetworld is preferred
Experience in a construction environment is considered an asset
Strong knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
NCSO, CRSP, or similar designation is considered an asset
