THE OPPORTUNITY AWAITS YOU

As a trusted HR advisor, the HRBP provides a wide-range of HR services and support. Working collaboratively with assigned departments, this role provides guidance to leaders on people management practices and processes that enhance employee engagement, performance, and organizational culture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The HRBP provides expertise in all facets of recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, talent management and HR program implementation while ensuring HR policies and practices are applied consistently and comply with legislation, collective agreements, and organizational policies.

As the primary HR resource and advisor, this role:
Leads the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, follow-up documentation and on-boarding
Provides guidance and assists with performance management processes
Identifies training and development needs; coordinates and delivers learning programs and opportunities
Supports diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives
Administers sound HR management practices and advises on policies, collective agreement and legislative provisions
Coordinates leaves and facilitates workplace accommodation opportunities
Ensures the accuracy and integrity of information; generates HR reports
Identifies and supports process improvements and opportunities to enhance existing services

WHAT IT TAKES
A related degree from a recognized learning institution plus five (5) years of progressive HR experience
CPHR designation or agreement to actively pursue
Experience working in a unionized environment is preferred
Knowledge of related legislation conducive to human resource management practices
Demonstrated communication skills (verbal, written, listening) and interpersonal skills including collaboration and teamwork
Detail and deadline oriented with demonstrated planning and organizing skills
