Description

Administrative Support Person (Part-Time)

28 hours/week (Shifts: 9am5pm). Includes a one-hour unpaid lunch. Flexibility in the days of work; potential for increased hours based on office needs.

We are seeking a compassionate professional to provide administrative and reception support to the SSAIC team and Executive Director. This role is ideal for a team player who thrives in an environment providing support to individuals who have experienced trauma.

Qualifications: Business Administration Certificate or equivalent skills/experience.

Experience: 3 years of administrative experience, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace. Experience with OWL/Jain app is an asset.

Proven experience in filing, data entry, and reception functions.

Knowledge & Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to problem-solve and address issues with internal and external service providers respectfully while clearly communicating agency needs and expectations.

Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of computer and office equipment.

Knowledge of computer and web-based systems including MS Office Suite and Google.

Knowledge of non-profit counselling-based office administration is an asset.

Ability to provide compassionate reception support to high-need/crisis clients who have experienced trauma.

Ability to handle interruptions while providing accurate, complete documentation support in a timely manner.

Ability to manage diverse duties with flexibility, efficiency, and sound judgment in task prioritization.

Ability to act independently and organize systems and spaces for maximum efficiencies.

Ability and interest in working collaboratively as part of a team toward shared goals.

Ability to ensure confidentiality of all sensitive materials and information.

An acceptable Criminal Record Check with a vulnerable sector search is mandatory for this position.
