Job Description: Under the direction of a Program Manager and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker provides a range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to a primarily child and youth mental health and addiction population. This position is with the Kinship team. It involves providing outreach services to a population that often experiences barriers to typical mental health services. The incumbent provides supervision to students in formal clinical practicums. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Experience- Min 1 yr postgrad recognized clinical exp in community mental health setting
Education- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
Competencies - Communication skills
Knowledge and Abilities- Knowledge of the diversity of cultures, values and traditions
- Knowledge of normal child & adolescent development & psychopathology
- Broad knowledge of mental health community resources.
- Ability to design, initiate and conduct training for other professionals
- Ability to manage a high demand caseload and other work assignments.
