GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reporting to the Manager, the Support Analyst designs the installation of the workstation operating system and standard software via the standard image and provides technical support for computer systems and network users, responding to user requests, providing technical support for both system/program and equipment operations, ensuring users and PCs have appropriate functionality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Diploma in Computer Technology and 2 years experience providing analyst support to end users or 5 years experience providing analyst support to end users.
Experience:
- No previous experience.
Skills:
- Ability to support Microsoft applications and learn new in-house customized software.
- Creative problem solving is required in situations such as initiating appropriate workarounds where the final corrective solution may take longer to provide than the client can absorb, in order to ensure the continuance of business during the provision of the solution.
- Ability to comprehend ambiguous and complex clinical and technological information provided by end-users as well as application development and support staff and vendors and explain hardware and software functionality to computer users.
