This position will contribute to operational efficiency of the Information Technology infrastructure and provides technical support to STC employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Support the stable operation of STC IT infrastructure.
-This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links while ensuring minimal network downtime.
-Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, software, networked peripheral devices, cabling, and networking hardware and software products.
-Field incoming requests to the Service Desk via telephone, e-mail, remote support applications and in person to ensure courteous, timely and effective resolution of end user issues.
-Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information and nature of problem or issue.
-Prepare and ensure accuracy of documentation, procedures manuals, and help sheets for network installations, including data, voice, and video systems.
-Support development, implementation and training of networking projects and new technology installations.
-Manage the procurement process from quotation of hardware and software to deployment.
-Maintain servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
-Maintain security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
-Maintain all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, access points, and UPSs.
