Description

In the position of seasonal full-time Labourer, you will be performing a variety of tasks including raking, sweeping, blowing out cracks, applying asphalt products, installing signs, etc. You will be participating in daily safety Toolbox meetings to promote a safe work environment. You will also perform regular equipment/vehicle inspections and work with the site supervisor and team to meet daily targets and achieve company goals. This position will also contribute to traffic control operations during projects such as being a flag person. A Flag Person controls the movement of traffic through the work zone using hand signals, a stop/slow paddle, and radio communication. Under the direction of the Traffic Accommodation Supervisor, the Flag Person will also assist in setting up and taking down the work zone, signs, and help maintain the signs throughout the day
Qualifications:
    Valid Class 5 Drivers License
    Ability to lift 50lbs
    Safety oriented individual
    Strong communication skills
    Flexibility personality with the ability to multitask
    Ability to work in various weather conditions
Duties & Responsibilities:
    Perform a variety of labour tasks to assist with traffic control and road operations including raking, sweeping, blowing out cracks, and applying rubber asphalt products and installing signs etc.
    Assisting with traffic control as directed by the Site Supervisor
    Participate in daily safety Toolbox meetings to promote a safe work environment
    Perform regular equipment/vehicle inspections
    Work with the Site Supervisor and team to meet daily targets and achieve company goals
    Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
    Be able to stand for long durations
Compensation:
    $50/day for meals
