Description

As Saskatchewan Pension Plan (SPP) continues to grow, it offers an opportunity to join a provincially established, fully funded pension organization focused on member service and operational excellence. Based in Kindersley, SPP manages over $900 million in assets for more than 32,000 members and supports career development through internal growth. SPP is seeking a Senior Member Education Officer with a strong interest in retirement and financial education.

SPP is looking for a highly organized, self-motivated professional who is comfortable engaging members in retirement and investment planning discussions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal and presentation skills, can collaborate across departments, and represents the organization at presentations, tradeshows, and networking events.

This role requires a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and strong knowledge of personal finance, investments, and Canadian retirement products, including defined contribution pension plans. Candidates typically have an Administration or Commerce degree, additional credentials such as CIFC/CIFOC, and ideally PPAC or CEBS, along with several years of experience in pensions or financial services. Excellent communication skills and the ability to use retirement planning tools to support member decision-making are essential. Completion of the Canadian Investment Funds Course is required within six months of hire.
Responsibilities include promoting retirement and investment planning, conducting proactive member outreach, providing individualized counselling, supporting asset consolidation, contributing technical expertise to retirement projects, developing retirement-focused communication materials, and supporting business development initiatives.
