West Ridge Childcare Centre is seeking a reliable Early Childhood Educator to work in a casual, on-call float role. This position provides coverage when regular staff are absent. Hours are not guaranteed and full-time employment is not available. This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship or provincial nomination programs.

The Centre provides licensed care for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years and operates MondayFriday, 7:00 a.m.6:00 p.m. Programming follows Saskatchewans Play and Exploration Early Learning Framework.

Position Nature:
Casual / on-call coverage position
Shifts vary week-to-week based on operational needs
May be scheduled in any program room
Short-notice shifts may occur
Increased hours may be available during peak periods

Responsibilities / Job Skills:
Support implementation of play-based programming
Supervise children in accordance with licensing regulations and ratio requirements
Assist with daily routines, transitions, and environment setup
Apply positive behaviour guidance strategies
Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
Work collaboratively within a team-based classroom model
Communicate effectively with staff and families

Requirements:
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (within 6 months)
Valid First Aid & CPR appropriate to childcare
Food Safety Level I certification
Willingness to enroll in ECE Level I if not certified

Preferred:
ECE Level I, II, or III and licensed childcare experience

Wages:
No ECE: $15.35/hr
ECE I: $20.85/hr | ECE II: $24.00/hr | ECE III: $28.50/hr
