Overview:

Locally Owned & Operated Ford Dealership seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise and customer service skills to ensure vehicle safety and performance. Candidates with dealership experience, mechanic background, and proficiency with hand tools and power tools are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics and repairs, including engine, transmission, brake systems, and electrical components
Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues accurately
Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and working with heavy machinery
Maintain accurate work orders and repair notes
Communicate clearly with team members


Qualifications

Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, preferably within a dealership or automotive service center
Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills
Valid drivers license
Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts replacement
Journeyperson certification is an asset but not required
