Description

The Medical Transportation Coordinator/Clerk-Receptionist will work under the direction and supervision of the Office Manager and will have the responsibility for the effective coordination of approved medical transportation for the members living on Poundmaker Cree Nation using Non-Insured Health Benefits policies and procedures. The Medical Transportation Coordinator/Receptionist will also be responsible for office reception and other clerical duties and is expected to maintain strict confidentiality and to be courteous and professional at all times.
Home Base: Poundmaker Cree Nation  successful applicant will be responsible to provide own transportation to and from community.
Qualifications
Diploma from a recognized business college. Grade 12 and equivalencies with related work experience will be considered.
Experience working in a team setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to utilize when assisting clients over the phone, video conferencing, and Telehealth.
Must be able to handle difficult situations.
Must be proficient with word processing and spreadsheets, and general office equipment.
Demonstrated ability for attention to detail and thoroughness.
Confidentiality is essential; the candidate must be capable of maintaining high levels of confidentiality
Must provide a successful criminal record check with the vulnerable sector.
Knowledge of and sensitivity to the First Nations language
Previous working experience with First Nations people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
Must have a valid Class 5 driver's License
