The Summer Camp Leader is responsible for delivering safe, engaging, and inclusive recreation-based programming for children aged 7-12. This role focuses on increasing physical activity and developing physical literacy through sports, games, and cooperative activities. Camp Leaders work collaboratively to create a fun, positive camp environment while ensuring participant safety and well-being.
Qualifications:
- One year of post secondary education in Kinesiology
- Experience in children's programming, delivery, safety supervision and creating a fun environment
- Standard First Aid and CPR is an asset
- Criminal record check
The Contract Responsibilities include the following:
- Attend orientation and training session
- Read and understand camp program
- Prepare lesson plans to include physical activities, sports, games, and cooperative games
- Work as part of a team to lead children in an engaging and enthusiastic manner for the Sport & Games camp activities
- Daily set up and take down of equipment
- Provide lunch supervision of campers
- Ensure the supervision, safety and well-being of children during program hours
- Properly care for all camp materials and equipment
- Demonstrate a professional manner when working with children, parents, and staff

The camp program is offered Monday Friday from 8:00am 5:00pm.

Orientation and Training
Contractors will receive training, orientation and program planning time to develop weekly activity plans. The program occurs at the Saskatoon Field House.
Independent Contractor
Contractors are not employees, and are responsible for reporting and paying income tax, CPP, and EI.
