Job description:
Overview:
A Sprinkler Technician installs, tests, maintains and repairs Sprinkler Equipment. Travel is required between work sites. Independent and collaborative work is necessary. A Sprinkler Technician must be competent in the requirements of NFPA 10, NFPA 25, Provincial and Federal Fire Codes. Work must be conducted in a safe manner following all OH&S guidelines and Premium Fire Protection procedures.
Reporting to:
Branch Manager and Corporate Sprinkler Manager
Scope of work:
Perform preventive fire protection equipment inspections and maintenance to include operation, cleaning, maintaining and repairing
Install sprinkler systems
Create comprehensible reports on their handle devices
Drive between sites
Submit daily Hazard Assessment forms, Weekly Vehicle Inspection forms and attended all safety/toolbox meeting
Complete all internal training as assigned
Read and understand the Safety Process Manual and participate in the program;
Comply with Government regulations
Refuse to carry out work where you have reason to believe there is imminent danger to yourself or others;
Wear proper protective equipment when required
Report hazards in the workplace
Correct unsafe conditions where possible
Report injuries, accidents and incidents
Make accident prevention suggestions
