Description

Public Prosecutions is offering an opportunity for a Crown Prosecutor to practice law while making a difference and supporting work-life balance. This opportunity suits someone interested in regulatory and quasicriminal law and ongoing professional development.

Candidates must be eligible for and maintain membership in good standing with the Law Society of Saskatchewan and successfully pass a criminal record check. Required assets include strong oral and written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills, effective organization and case management abilities, and proficiency with legal research tools and MS Office. Litigation experience in criminal or regulatory law and familiarity with CJIMS are considered assets but are not required.

Responsibilities include conducting quasicriminal and regulatory prosecutions under provincial legislation in Provincial Court and the Court of Kings Bench, managing docket and trial work, providing legal opinions, advising investigative units, and participating in legal education. Hours may include evenings and weekends, and travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
