The Opportunity:
- Lead corporate domestic tax, international tax, and transfer pricing compliance across all Canpotex entities and jurisdictions.
- Manage relationships with global tax advisory firms and partner with local accounting teams and external auditors to deliver accurate, timely filings.
- Oversee corporate income tax return filings, assessment reconciliations, and installment calculations/submissions.
- Prepare and file required indirect/local tax returns (e.g., GST/consumption) and reconcile filings to accounting records.
- Maintain tax calendars, own tax accounting deliverables, including monthly tax accruals, deferred tax calculations, tax rate proofs, and related financial statement disclosure.
- Proactively monitor tax law changes and incentives; lead tax audits/reviews/examinations and coordinate responses with stakeholders and authorities.
You'll Bring:
- CPA Designation is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience, including at least 5 years at a senior level
- Completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course and taxation experience with United States, Singapore, Brazil, and/or China would be considered an asset.
