Casual/On Call Early Childhood Educators work within the BGC Saskatoon Early Years Department. Hourly wage begins at $15.56/hr and increases $5.85-8.85 per hour if the applicant has their Saskatchewan Early Childhood Educator Certification (Level 1, 2 or 3)

The Casual Early Childhood Educator position is part time (less than 30 hours per week) and is directly responsible to the ELC management teams, who are responsible to the Director of Early Years. The Casual ECE will work with the ECE positions to provide a quality, safe and stimulating experience for all children attending the Centre.

Casual Early Childhood Educators may have the opportunity to work at our other Early Learning Centres (located in John Lake School and the Evergreen Joint Use School in Saskatoon).

The Casual ECE, along with full time ECEs/ECE Assistants, will:

*Assist with the implementation of daily routines and maintain a high level of supervision and safety under the supervisions of the ELC Management team according to Provincial Licensing Regulations and Procedures

*Ensure the quality of the ELC by adhering to Provincial Licensing Regulations (which includes Health and Fire Regulations) as well as BGC Saskatoon Policies and Procedures.

*Work in a team-based environment

*Apply and interpret Early Childhood Educations developmentally appropriate practices

*End of shift daily cleanup.

*Maintain facility to highest safety standard; ensuring all toys/furniture/equipment are in good condition
