Description

Key Responsibilities
- Design & develop agricultural equipment components & systems from concept through production release
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings & engineering specifications
- Ensure designs meet requirements
- Apply DFMEA and DFM/DFA principles
- Participate in design reviews & engineering change processes
- Develop & execute validation plans (lab/field testing)
- Analyze test data & recommend design improvements
- Support prototype builds & field trials in real agricultural operating conditions
- Ensure products meet reliability, durability & performance targets
- Collaborate effectively across departments
- Support smooth transition from development to production
- Investigate field issues & support root cause analysis
- Implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
- Drive cost reduction & product improvement initiatives
- Support lifecycle management of existing products
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, BOMs & revision control

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field
- 37 years of product development or design engineering experience
- Experience in agricultural equipment or heavy machinery strongly preferred
- Background in agriculture and/or hands-on experience with farming operations is considered a strong asset
- Experience designing agricultural machinery (e.g., seeding, tillage, or harvesting equipment) is a strong asset
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics & structural design
- Experience with GD&T and engineering drawing standards
- Familiarity with validation & testing methodologies
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding/machining/assembly)
- Strong problem-solving & analytical skills
- Effective communication & collaboration across teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects & priorities
