Description

**Lucky Lake is located 157 km (1 hr 45 mins) from Saskatoon International Airport YXE. Applicants must be willing to relocate to Lucky Lake, SK. Must be currently authorized to work in Canada to apply for this job.*

Little Prairie Daycare Inc. is a non-profit daycare in the community of Lucky Lake, SK., that provides childcare for children between the ages of 18 months to 12 years.

We are currently hiring a centre director, who will facilitate our staff to plan and coordinate educational activities and manage the day to day operations of our facility.

Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all staff are up-to-date on the latest research in child development, safety precautions, and developmentally appropriate practices.
Obtain knowledge of licensing and Ministry of Education regulations
Conflict resolution
Ensure a safe, nurturing, and caring play environment
Build strong family connections
Positively communicate with parents regarding children and their progression.
Plan and implement educational activities that align with the Play and Exploration Program Guide
Hiring and training of new staff members
Work with the Board of Directors to advocate for the needs of the Staff and Centre  

Requirements:
Early Childhood Education diploma (ECE Level III) or willingness to obtain
Valid first aid certificate/CPR-C or willingness to obtain
Safe food handling certificate or willingness to obtain
Current criminal record check including a vulnerable sector check.
Excellent Communication Skills
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Proven ability to work closely with other team members
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with a valid driver's license

Operational Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
