Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will operate in a fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders. The role requires strong attention to detail, independent judgment, the ability to manage shifting priorities, and consistent application of financial policies and guidelines.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare monthly fund reconciliations and financial statements.
Assist in budget development, monitoring, and variance analysis.
Ensure program funds and budgets comply with policies and external funding requirements.
Provide financial data analysis for decision making and strategic planning.
Transactional Processing
Process purchase orders, invoices, accounts receivable, payment receipts, and travel expense claims.
Support payroll related document processing and reconciliations.
Manage day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and adherence to procedures.
Operational Support
Maintain effective financial recordkeeping, including journal vouchers, accruals, credit card transactions, and vendor invoices.
Review, document, and improve financial business processes to enhance efficiency.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with staff, and external stakeholders to support financial operations.
Provide guidance on financial procedures and budgetary practices.
Education Required:
A relevant university degree (e.g., accounting, finance, business administration
CPA designation
Experience Required:
Minimum 3-5 years experience in financial or administrative
Preparing financial reports using advanced Excel and standard reporting tools.
Working with institutional finance and HR systems (e.g., UniFi, About US) is an asset.
Other Requirements:
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
High accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial data.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
