City of Moose Jaw is seeking to fill a permanent full-time Admin Support position in the Operations Department. The Admin Support performs administrative, secretarial and clerical functions required for the day to day operations of the Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, collate, prepare, maintain and type a variety of technical and administrative material
- Provide reception services including receiving telephone calls, emails and enquiries
- Provide administrative support including budget tracking and control, task management, records management and communications
- Assist with dispatch duties including handling requests for paratransit bus services and two-way radio communications
- Input and assign public requests for service
- Collect, process and deposit monies received
- Maintain files
- Issues sales and purchase orders
- Administrative duties for various City boards, committees and commissions
Qualifications:
1 year Office Administration Certificate or similar education from a recognized program and a minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or clerical role; OR Grade 12 education plus 3 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role in a busy office setting
- Experience with Windows-based systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint along with the ability to learn, understand and operate specialized application software
- Class 5 drivers license
- Provide current drivers abstract and be insurable
- Lift 25lbs and walk long distances
- Strong clerical, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and establish priorities with minimum supervision
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety act and regulations
