Responsibilities:
Shipping Responsibilities:
- Prepare goods for outbound shipment, including packaging, labeling, and completing required documentation (courier waybills, customs forms, etc.).
- Order and maintain stock of shipping materials.
- Load outgoing shipments onto courier trucks and coordinate pickup as needed.
- Respond to customs inquiries and support customs clearance activities in coordination with the customs broker.
Receiving Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload deliveries at the loading dock; sign courier waybills and verify incoming items.
- Unpack goods and verify packing slips against purchase orders; enter receipt information into the purchasing system and file documentation.
- Identify, document, and resolve shipment discrepancies related to quantity, specifications, or condition.
- Tag and route items requiring inspection and notify appropriate personnel.
- Distribute goods to end users or storage locations and ensure proper placement within warehouse bins.
- Segregate and control non compliant or off spec deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and safe loading dock and receiving area, including disposal of excess packaging materials.
Inventory & Cross Functional Support:
- Support the Financial Technician II with inventory tasks such as cycle counts, replenishment, and stock card updates.
- Assist with the expediting and tracking of user samples and returns.
- Operate a forklift as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma and relevant post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, unloading, and moving materials; ability to operate a forklift or willingness to obtain certification.
