Description

The Rural Municipality of Nipawin No. 487 is seeking two experienced Class 1 Truck Drivers. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer unit for municipal gravel hauling and related duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate an 18-speed tractor-trailer unit in a safe and efficient manner
Haul materials using end dump, side dump, and belly dump trailers in B-train configurations
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate records
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs as required
Assist with the operation of other heavy equipment, as needed
Follow all safety regulations and municipal policies

Qualifications:
Valid Class 1A drivers license required
Experience operating tractor-trailer units, including end, side, belly dump trailers in B-train configurations
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance
Experience with heavy equipment operation is considered an asset
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
