Description

The Rural Municipality of Nipawin No. 487 is seeking one Summer Student to assist the Public Works department. This position provides hands-on experience in municipal operations, maintenance, and general labour.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general shop cleaning and yard maintenance
Complete manual labour tasks as assigned
Assist with culvert installation, maintenance, and repairs
Assist with sign installation and repairs
Wash and maintain municipal equipment and vehicles
Pick up parts and supplies as required
Support Public Works staff with daily operational tasks

Qualifications:
Ability to perform physical labour in outdoor conditions
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset

Requirements:
Valid drivers license required
Must be reliable and punctual
Applicant must be between 15 and 30 years of age
