As a valued member of the SFNWA, the successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team to satisfy the goals and objectives of the SFNWA.The Administrative Assistant helps the SFNWA staff with administrative tasks related to membership, board and committee meetings, financial transactions, and membership training. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Office Coordinator and takes direction from both the Office Coordinator and Executive Director.
The Administrative Assistant will be the first point of contact for members, nations, and regional groups. They will help to build and maintain professional relationships with these individuals and groups to fulfill membership needs. The successful applicant will be a motivated individual with strong skills related to communication, organization, time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving. They will also have an understanding and/or appreciation of First Nations ways of knowing and being.
