Description

The Ministry of Highways is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Program Support Team within the Corporate Services Branch in Saskatoon. The ministry offers a professional, servicefocused environment committed to innovation, transparency, effective use of resources, and leadership at all levels. This permanent fulltime role provides the opportunity to support a wide range of ministry staff, executives, branches, divisions, and external stakeholders.

They are looking for a detailoriented, clientfocused administrative professional with strong communication skills and the ability to provide reliable human resource and general office support. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and able to ask clear questions, research issues, and explain complex policies and procedures. A collaborative approach and the ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks are essential.

Key knowledge and skills include understanding HR principles and staffing practices, familiarity with recruitment processes, and experience using systems such as Taleo, MIDAS, and Microsoft Office. Candidates must be able to create and format documents, maintain detailed records that meet audit standards, and provide guidance on HR policies, timekeeping, and collective agreement provisions. General office duties include answering phones, ordering supplies, distributing mail, maintaining filing systems, recording meeting minutes, and processing invoices and pcards. A Business or Office Administration certificate combined with several years of relevant experience is typically required.

The role supports recruitment, HR inquiries, documentation management, and administrative coordination across the ministry.
