Description

The Rural Municipality of Nipawin No. 487 is seeking an experienced seasonal grader operator. Reporting to the Foreman, the grader operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation
of municipal equipment, primarily a grader, to support road maintenance and infrastructure services within the municipality.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate a motor grader for the maintenance and repair of municipal roadways, including grading, shaping, crowning, and leveling gravel surfaces
Maintain ditches and drainage systems to ensure proper water flow and prevent road damage
Conduct pre and post operational inspections and basic servicing of equipment
Assist with additional Public Works activities, including culvert installation, signage, and brushing, as assigned
Perform manual labour tasks as required to support maintenance and construction tasks
Adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Good organizational and record-keeping abilities
Previous road maintenance knowledge and experience is required
Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to service and maintain equipment

Requirements:
Drivers abstract must be provided
Valid drivers license, Class 1A license considered an asset
