Description

The Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan (PAS) offers an opportunity to contribute to preserving and providing access to records that document Saskatchewans history while working in a dynamic, inclusive, and professional environment. PAS is seeking a term Archival Clerk to support the Appraisal, Acquisition, Legislative Compliance and Access team.

PAS is looking for an organized, reliable individual who can work independently and as part of a team, demonstrates attention to detail, and adapts well in a changing environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, innovative, and capable of analyzing issues, clarifying information needs, and contributing to a positive workplace culture. Physical ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 20 kg is required.
Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills, along with knowledge of office and administrative procedures used to support clerical and records-related work. Proficiency with computer applications is essential, including databases, word processing software, spreadsheets, and scanning tools. The role requires the ability to accurately input, update, retrieve, edit, format, and transmit information using various electronic systems. Knowledge of Canadian history, Saskatchewan and prairie regions, and basic archival conservation practices are considered assets.

Responsibilities include accompanying archivists during appraisals, retrieving and transporting records, reboxing and shelving materials, creating file lists, refiling collections, and completing related documentation.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal record check as a condition of employment.
