Description

At Prairie Clean Enterprises (PCE), were turning flax straw - an underused agricultural byproduct into valuable bio-based materials for a variety of high-value products, ranging from flax fibre and flax pellets for retail products to fuel pellets made from flax straw and were looking for dependable, hands-on team players to help make that happen.

As a Production Shift Supervisor, youll be responsible to supervise the production department according to safety, quality, production and delivery reliability standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, customers, suppliers and other departments to quickly resolve equipment, process, and quality issues and minimize production downtime.

Coach, motivate, and support operators to meet production targets and speed, drive continuous improvement, and follow corrective action plans.

Troubleshoot machine and product issues (test failures and materials not passing specifications) to maintain manufacturing efficiency and meet quality standards.

Support the administration of time and attendance programs, requests for vacation and leaves, machine postings, overtime coverage, disciplines & grievances, payroll
system, new operator training & operator recertification program.

Facilitate and support initiatives/projects to meet PCEs strategy and goals.

Effectively communicate new policies and procedures to operators to ensure compliance with Safety, 5S, SQEC, & Production.

Lead daily safety talks, enforce protocols, and manage incident reporting/investigations

Oversee shift handover, including production logs and issue escalation to oncoming supervisor or plant manager

Ensure crew scheduling and daily task assignment across the shift
