Description

Were looking for a Principal Software Architecture Director to join our team to shape the future of our technology landscape and guide the architectural direction of complex, high impact systems.
We hope you consider applying if you can:
Lead the development of enterprise-wide software architecture standards, frameworks, and guiding principles that drive scalable, modern solutions.
Apply deep expertise in software architecture and design to enhance development, deployment, and integration practices across the organization.
Identify gaps in current standards and processes and introduce innovative, forward looking approaches that support both business and technical goals.
Stay ahead of industry trends and translate emerging technologies into practical, strategic recommendations for SGI.
Effectively collaborate and engage with stakeholders of all levels to understand needs and ensure architectural solutions support strategic outcomes.
Bring experience across the full delivery lifecycle, having designed, built, and sustained complex systems with an understanding that architectural quality is proven in production, not just at launch.
Demonstrate deep knowledge of modern architecture patterns including distributed systems, event-driven design, and cloud-native approaches.
Hit the ground running in a mixed-delivery environment, having worked across both custom-built and large SaaS platforms and the integration challenges each presents.
Possess superior communication and presentation skills.

Typically, these skills are gained through:

A four-year degree in in a relevant field of study such as Information Technology, Mathematics & Applied Science, or Business
At least 10 years of experience with software architecture and design, and in project or systems management with increasing responsibility, including experience in supporting the development of others.
Demonstrated experience architecting and delivering a microservice based architecture
