The Ministry of Highways is seeking a motivated Equipment Operator to join the Swift Current Section within the Operation and Maintenance Division. Key knowledge and skills include the ability to operate, service, and maintain heavy equipment such as tandem trucks, graders, and loaders; use advanced hydraulic controls during winter operations; maintain accurate daily records; manage basic computer tasks; and work flexible hours. Candidates should be able to contribute positively to the team, handle extreme weather, and ensure the safety of the travelling public.

Responsibilities include performing summer and winter maintenance, conducting surveillance and general road upkeep, operating snowplows during storms, completing inspections, and supporting safe work practices.
