Prairie Spirit School Division invites applications for a dynamic, energetic, and experienced Fleet Supervisor, commencing April 27th, 2026.
The Fleet Supervisor is a member of the Transportation Team and assists the Transportation Manager with the supervision of garage staff responsible for the repair and maintenance of division owned fleet.
Key duties include:
Provide supervision of the work of the transportation mechanic staff on division fleet vehicles ensuring compliance with Transport Canada and SGI Commercial Carrier Regulations and the high standards set by the school division.
Provide daily supervision for transportation mechanics and shop assistants, including prioritizing and scheduling the work assignments and on-call duties and approval of overtime and leaves of absence.
Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of all Prairie Spirit School Division Fleet Vehicles. Ensuring all buses are repaired and maintained at or above the standards set out by SGI Vehicles and Inspections regulations and guidelines.
Successful candidates will:
Hold a valid Journeyperson certificate in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Truck & Transport Mechanic with experience in gasoline, diesel and propane fueled engines.
Propane certification is considered an asset.
Vehicle Safety Inspection Certificate is an asset.
Prior management training and experience. Inventory management training and experience is considered an asset.
Possess a valid Class 1-5 driver's license.
Have or be willing to obtain an S endorsement.
