Sherwood Co-op requires a journeyperson to fill a full-time Facilities Tradesperson position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
In-house maintenance activities for Sherwood Co-operative Association Limited such as inspections of buildings, equipment, refrigeration system, HVAC, fire suppression systems, departments and tenant requests, snow removal, and product and material ordering as required to complete necessary maintenance and repairs.
Keeping accurate records and logs for completed inspections, maintenance, repairs, system readings such as HVAC, etc. It also includes, achieving established objectives in terms of brand, service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery, as well as identifying areas for improvement.
Developing and fostering relationships with third party contractors. You will be responsible for contacting and hiring outside contractors, when necessary, oversee their work, and ensure that the costs are in line with industry rates.
Ensuring prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service is provided at all times.
Ensuring perimeter security is maintained at all locations.
Operations of the fire panel, sprinkler system, and building security.
Ensure adherence to brand and image standards
Works closely with Facilities Manager to ensure facilities are in compliance with relevant Occupational Health and Safety standards.
Qualifications:
A trade certification in either millwright, HVAC, electrical, refrigeration or plumbing.
1-3 years experience preferred; commercial construction experience would be an asset.
