Job Description

If you have great attention to detail, enjoy routine and working in a medium-paced environment, the Cashier/Grocery Clerk position at 29th Street Market may be perfect for you!

The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-orientated, proactive, and reliable.

  



Responsibilities

- Accurately processing transactions (scanning/entering items, using a POS system, cash handling, processing debit/credit cards, lottery tickets, gift cards etc.)
- Bagging groceries
- Helping customers bring groceries to their vehicles (upon request)
- Maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Maintaining a clean work area
- Proficient knowledge of merchandise
- Completing housekeeping tasks
- Some stocking tasks
- Completing other tasks as requested
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift items up to 40lbs
- Ability to bend and conduct repetitive movements


Work Schedule

- Evening shift (5-10pm)
- Some weekend availability required*
- Part-time (5 hours/day, 15-20 hours/week)*
