Description

Corman Park Police Service
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed review and redaction of body-worn and in-car camera footage, ensuring removal of confidential and statute-protected information in compliance with disclosure and privacy legislation.
Organize, prepare, and document digital evidence while maintaining strict chain of custody standards.
Liaise with investigative staff and prosecutors to meet disclosure timelines and requirements.
Process criminal record check requests in accordance with RCMP and departmental procedures.
Respond to public inquiries, verify identification and documentation, conduct CPIC database queries, and prepare accurate official records while maintaining confidentiality.
Perform evidence custodian duties, including logging, auditing, and securely storing property and evidence in compliance with established protocols.
Facilitate the release, return, or disposal of property in accordance with legal requirements and transport evidence as needed. Provide administrative support, including front-line customer service, filing, correspondence, and office coverage during staff absences.
Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality in all interactions.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Assistant or Chief of Police.Qualifications:
Grade 12 required; post-secondary education in administration, business, or criminal justice preferred. Experience in a police, legal, or government environment is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational, communication, and data entry skills are required. Experience with CPIC or digital evidence systems is an asset.

Additional Requirements:
Must be able to obtain an acceptable Criminal Record Check. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive material, including video evidence, is required.
