Applications are being accepted for 1 Scraper operator position. This position is as per the Group 2 Classification and is a permanent seasonal position.
Duties include:
Operating a motor scraper unit on the RMs road construction crew for the construction season of May through October. The successful applicant will be responsible for scraper unit maintenance and minor repairs along with other various duties as required.

Desired Qualifications and Knowledge Base:
Read grade stakes, final stakes, cuts and fills, eye-level usage.
Knowledge of road maintenance and construction procedures would be an asset.
Experience in the proper operation, minor repair, maintenance, and servicing of motor scrapers.
Ability to respectfully deal with members of the public and co-workers to develop and maintain positive work relationships.
Accurately comprehend information from written and verbal instruction.
Adaptable to changing work situations and demonstrates an ability to be self-motivated.
Available to work inconsistent hours that are usually dictated by various weather conditions.
Attention to detail to record accurate work reports.
Valid Class 1A driver's licence preferred.
A valid Class 5 driver's license with a clear abstract is mandatory.
Grade 12 education is preferred.
