Description

Duties and Responsibilities:  
The Certified Home Health Aide(s) supports individuals with home management,
personal care, and social or recreational needs, including activities of daily living. All duties are performed safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized environment. The role focuses on promoting client independence and supporting individuals and their families to remain in their homes as long as possible. Under the supervision of the Home and Community Care Registered Nurse, the Home Health Aide(s) provide personal care and assistance with the following, including but not limited to:

Performing general household cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping,
bathroom sanitation, and tidying living spaces, etc.
Assisting with meal planning and preparation in accordance with needs, etc.

Skills and Qualifications:  
Home Health Aide Certification and current First Aid and CPR Certificate are required.
Previous related experience in home care or a similar setting is an asset.
Demonstrated ability to follow directions while maintaining strict client confidentiality at all times.
Strong ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to speak the language of the community is considered an asset.
Proven ability to maintain accurate and timely written records.
Exhibits respect, empathy, compassion, and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality care.
Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting, transferring, and repositioning clients, as well as completing various household tasks.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including a variety of shifts, evenings. and weekends.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team.
Valid Saskatchewan Class Five (5) Drivers License is required.
Completion of a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check.
