Description

Duties and Responsibilities:  
The Summer Student Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and
overseeing the Summer Student Program. This role involves recruiting and
supporting student employees, coordinating training and schedules, and ensuring a positive, productive work experience. The Coordinator will act as a key liaison between students, managers, and Human Resources.

Develop and implement the Summer Student Program structure and schedule for 20+ students.
Assist with job postings, candidate screening, and interviews.
Coordinate hiring processes and onboarding documentation, while ensuring all employment requirements are complete.
Coordinate onboarding, orientation, training, and group sessions.
Plan program activities, workshops, and team-building events.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all summer students.
Mentor, supervise, monitor student performance, and provide feedback.
Address concerns, conflicts, and questions in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of attendance for payroll inputs and to prepare reports on Program outcomes and participation.

Skills and Qualifications:  
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience working with youth, student programs, or event planning preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).  
Ability to facilitate meetings and engage participation.
Knowledge and understanding of First Nations people, the cultures, and communities.  
Ability and willingness to work an occasional evening or weekend.
A valid Saskatchewan class five (5) drivers licence.
Completion of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
