Description

The ministry is offering a senior leadership opportunity as Director, Air and Marine, providing provincial oversight for Saskatchewans airport and ferry programs. This role leads regulatory compliance, safety management, and operational standards across all air and marine services, ensuring safe, reliable transportation for northern and remote communities. The position offers the chance to guide longterm program direction, support capital investment decisions, and modernize essential transportation infrastructure.

They are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in aviation, marine, transportation, or infrastructure programs within safetyregulated environments. The ideal leader demonstrates strong knowledge of Transport Canada and NAV CANADA requirements, proven ability to manage safetycritical operations, and experience contributing to capital planning and governance. Strategic thinking, riskbased decisionmaking, and the ability to influence senior executives and regulators are essential.

Key skills include expertise in regulatory compliance, Safety Management Systems, emergency preparedness, and operational planning. Candidates must show success in building collaborative relationships across government, industry, and communities, along with strong communication abilities. Leadership capability is critical, including mentoring technical staff and guiding organizational change.
