The Saskatchewan Medical Association is a voluntary professional association for physicians in Saskatchewan, where over 90 per cent of physicians are members. The SMA also represents the vast majority of medical students and residents training in Saskatchewan.

We represent the collective view of the medical profession in Saskatchewan and negotiate for and on behalf of fee-for-service, salaried and alternate payment physicians.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, permanent Analyst, Economics to join our growing team!  


This position supports research, analysis, and the development of recommendations on physician compensation, health policy, and relevant economic issues; and assists in liaising with the Ministry of Health and other agencies on matters related to physician compensation.  



The Analyst contributes to projects and provides support to physician groups and SMA committees focused on advancing the economic well-being of physicians in Saskatchewan. The position also provides guidance and assistance to physicians regarding insured and uninsured services, billing inquiries, compensation programs, and policies.



This position is based on-site at our office in Saskatoon, SK, with a voluntary hybrid work option allowing remote work from home up to 2 out of 5 days per week subject to approval under our Hybrid Work Arrangement policy.
