This role serves as a key point of contact for the public, partner agencies, and stakeholders, ensuring timely, clear, and effective communication. Responsibilities include answering inquiries, scheduling and coordinating meetings, drafting correspondence, supporting Reaching Home program administration, and maintaining accurate records.

The position also oversees communication strategies, including website updates, social media content, print materials, newsletters, and public engagement initiatives. Additionally, the coordinator plans and supports events, workshops, and SHIP's annual conference, ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in business administration, marketing, communications, HR, or related field.
1-2 years administrative, communications, or related experience; knowledge of the homelessness sector is an asset.
Strong computer skills (MS 365, WordPress, Adobe products, database management).
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Term & Reporting:
This is an 18-month term position (possible extension depending on funding), reporting to the Executive Director. Compensation will align with SHIP's management wage grid.

SHIP is a values-based organization committed to collaboration, accountability, and community impact
