Description

The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Facilities and Security team is seeking a Facilities Operator to provide general maintenance support for SRC facilities, including office spaces, labs, and industrial settings. This role serves as the go-to for assistance with minor maintenance tasks and facility requests. This role also requires some on-call and emergency out-of-office hours.

Accountabilities
    Perform general building maintenance and trouble shoot issues with facilities related items such as doors, windows, and locks
    Mount, hang, and secure objects on walls such as shelves, picture frames, and fixtures
    Assemble furniture, including desks, chairs, and other office equipment
    Assist with seasonal groundskeeping tasks  
    Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are safely stored
    Assist in setup and breakdown of SRC spaces for meetings and events  
    Monitor and report any larger maintenance needs to senior team members and managers
    Participate as a member of SRCs emergency management team andassistthe Health and Safety team with OH&S activities

Qualifications
    Experience completing basic building maintenance tasks, repairs, and assembly  
    Building Operator certification(s) considered an asset
    Valid Class 5 drivers license
    Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs



The chosen candidate will also be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
