Description

NorTec Electric is an electrical contractor servicing Saskatoon and Regina reaching the greater part of Saskatchewan as we continue to grow. We are looking to expand our operations and currently looking for a Purchaser to join our team. Working side by side with our Project Managers and Superintendents, you will lead material purchasing for our ongoing and future projects throughout the province.

Responsibilities of the position would include:
-Receiving purchase requisitions from Project Managers and field staff
-Sourcing and purchasing materials for various jobs at the lowest cost
-Ensuring materials are promptly delivered to sites
-Completing assigned purchase orders
-Coordinating returns with suppliers and staff
-Communicate information both verbally and written to staff and sub-trades
-Ability to collaborate and communicate with others including staff and sub-trades
-Prepare material take-offs and pricing, assist as with tasks as required
-Assist with record keeping and managing shipments
-Participate in project scheduling and planning
-Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications and skills of the position would include:
-Experience purchasing and working in an administrative role
-Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
-Strong attention to detail
-Proven ability to think critically and resolve conflicts that may arise between shared information with sub-trades
-Proven ability to work within a team and independently with minimal supervision
-Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks meeting tight deadlines

Assets of this position would include:
-Experience in the Construction Industry
-Knowledge of the industry practices and standards
