Description

Autism Services of Saskatoon is seeking a reliable maintenance person who is skilled in general maintenance and repair.  We have multiple properties and locations and require someone to come in on a casual basis.  The ideal person for this job will have experience in drywall repair, mudding, taping, painting, general repairs, landscaping, and some minor electrical and plumbing work.  A valid Class 5 drivers license is required.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and able to handle a wide variety of tasks independently while making sure all properties are safe and well maintained.  Duties required may include 1) general landscaping maintenance and exterior property maintenance, 2) interior property maintenance and repair, 3) maintenance of household appliances, 4) regular replacement schedule of filters for HVAC and batteries for smoke alarms and CO2 detectors, 5) assistance in furniture assembly or moving, installation of shelves, etc. as required, 6) test drive and regular maintenance of onsite company vehicle as required, 7) assist in acquiring a minimum of 3 quotes for major repairs by specialized contractors or replacement of major appliances/equipment as required, 7) ensure regular inspection done of property, appliances, equipment, vehicle and tools onsite are maintained up to safety standards, 8) any other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
-Proven experience in general maintenance.  Trade certification is an asset.  
-A good basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical systems.
-Previous experience in managing multiple properties.
-Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and good time management skills.
-Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects safely.
-Familiarity with provincial and federal workplace safety regulations.
-Valid and up to date drivers license and reliable transportation are required.
