Northern Lights School Division No. 113 is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Superintendent of Education to join our administrative leadership team. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Education, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with fellow Superintendents and Principals to support student success across the division.
Key Responsibilities
The Superintendent of Education will provide leadership and support in the following areas:
Program development, evaluation, and continuous improvement
Personnel supervision and professional growth
Curriculum support and school-based leadership
Indigenous language revitalization
Literacy and numeracy assessment, with a strong emphasis on data-informed decision-making
Division-wide initiatives supporting high-quality teaching and learning
Extensive travel to schools across the division
Required Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Proven leadership ability in program evaluation, personnel supervision, and curriculum support
Strong background and expertise in literacy and numeracy assessment (priority qualification)
Post-graduate coursework in Curriculum and Instruction or Educational Administration
Eligibility for LEADS membership
Several years of successful school-level administration experience
Willingness and ability to travel extensively as part of the role
